Thanks for your interest in Petite Porn Paintings. I am absolutely taking submissions for the project.

At this point I’m still working toward a body of work that can be launched as an exhibition. The idea of the project is to challenge personal boundries surrounding a “taboo” subject. The canvases I use are 2.5″ square (or rarely 2″ square). The small size encourages the viewer to get closer than they typically would when viewing art. It both increases the intimacy and intensifies the level of personal challenge they might feel when viewing something that might be on the outside of their comfort zone.

Right now, I’m taking submissions for inspiration (rather than commissions) to possibly become part of the larger collection. I am trying to cover as many different aspects of human sexuality while remaining within the realm of sane and consensual, without too much overlap in subject. I’ve covered a lot of the more tame subjects and am moving toward the more risqué. I’ve joked that unless I can make everyone who sees them uncomfortable in some way, including myself, I’m not achieving what I set out to do.

The paintings wouldn’t be for sale until the end of whatever showing I am able to arrange for them, but if I do use one of your images, I would, of course, give you priority to purchase at that time. I haven’t set pricing on them yet but the size is small so the price will be as well ($35-$50 range). You will also remain anonymous unless you choose to identify yourself. I can’t make any guarantees that a painting will come of it (I’m not actually a painter and sometimes things just work against me), but if submitted images fit within the above I will print them out and add them to the inspiration material at my work station.
